Commissioned Slipper Chair in Yorkshire Stone
A sentimental piece that our client wanted to utilise in a guest room but felt was too dark and dated and did not fit in with the current decor . With the upholstery in great condition, we decided to complete a revival to lift and compliment the fabric, creating a softer look and allowing the fabric to shine in a different light. With the room having floor to ceiling glass windows looking out to a garden setting, we felt the original green upholstery would work with a Vintro Painted frame .
This occasional chair has been hand painted with Yorkshire Stone, diluted by 15% keeping a nice flat finish, then simply finished in Vintro Clear wax. Yorkshire Stone sits stunningly against green and creates a lovely soft neutral which has completely , lifted the existing upholstery providing a completely different look. A great show case of how even the smallest change can make a huge impact when it comes to painting furniture.
