BYOP -focussing on extreme layering and textures - Friday 28th July 2017 @9.30am
Come and join us for an intimate focussed workshop on creating a creative piece for your home. This workshop focuses on our textured rustic & colour layering technique using and combining 3 techniques. Bring your own small piece of furniture and paint up a storm under the expert guidance of the team at Taylored Revival. Classes are run in an intimate group format of four to ensure that you get focussed expert guidance right throughout the workshop.
The workshop will first go through a colour selection process; discussing more about colour and selecting complementary and contrasting colours. You will plan and create a concept for your piece. We will share our tips and tricks on creating a highly textured surface and then our expert knowledge on how to beautifully layer colours in a rustic style and pulling it all together through distressing and finishing with clear and dark wax. You will also have the opportunity to further enhance your bespoke finish through the use of our metallic gilding waxes; think Copper, Silver and Gold! This is a very involved and practical hands on workshop where we will guide you from start to finish, watch you while you create and give you tips along the way.
Tea, Coffee and snacks will be provided throughout the workshop.
This is an opportunity for you to paint your piece with TR, refining your painting techniques and ask any questions in a fun and relaxed workshop environment. This workshop includes the use of all of our waxes and brushes, your choice of two colours for you to use during the workshop. You will have full use of our distressing tools and gilding materials. Create your bespoke "french rustic" piece with us, refine your techniques around painting, detailing and waxing. You can look forward to taking home a beautiful, artful and unique piece.
Criteria for this workshop : Ideally you would have completed a 101 workshop with TR or you must be well versed with using chalk paint™ by Annie Sloan and waxes as this will be a fast paced workshop.
Bring your own piece criteria: To ensure that your piece will be completed during the workshop, your piece must be a small piece that you can hold and carry under one arm by yourself. Side table, small bedside, small wooden chair or small hall table are probably ideal.
What you need to bring: Your Annie Sloan workbook for concept planning or a notebook to draw it, ( these were provided in workshop 101)
